Surgical Template Options For Implant Supported Overdentures: Report of Two Cases

Öz

Implant positions have a crucial effect on the success of implant-supported prostheses. In order to place implants in the desired position, pre-operative planning with multidiciplinary team approach is a prerequisite. To transfer the planned implant positions to the surgery, 3-D planning systems with computerized tomography offer many advantages. Although bone-supported surgical templates increase precision during surgery, their high cost may necessitate involvement of different treatment approaches. In the present case reports, clinical use of two different surgical templates are presented

Öz

İmplant destekli protezlerin estetik ve fonksiyonel olarak başarısında implant pozisyonlarının büyük önemi vardır. İmplantların istenilen konumda yerleştirilebilmesi için cerrahi öncesi multidisipliner planlama büyük önem taşımaktadır. Yapılan planlamanın cerrahi aşamaya taşınabilmesi için bilgisayarlı tomografiler ile kullanılan 3 boyutlu planlama sistemleri geleneksel yöntemlerle kıyaslandığında büyük avantajlara sahiptir. Bilgisayar ekranında tasarlanan implant pozisyonlarının cerrahi alana taşınmasında kullanılan kemik üstü cerrahi plaklar hata payını en aza indirgemekle beraber; pahalı bir tedavi seçeneği olması sebebiyle alternatif yöntemleri de düşündürmektedir. Bu olgu raporunda implant yerleştirilmesi sırasında kullanılan iki farklı tipteki cerrahi plak sunulmaktadır
