In today’s world of technology, remarkableimprovements are taking place especially in thefield of medicine. The success rates of the performed medical applications are rising withregard to the modern technology; and parallelto these improvements, the expectations of thepatients are also rising. Patients are not seekingfor only a successful treatment; they also desireintraoperative and postoperative comfort. With the rapid improvement in laser technology after 1960’s, lasers have been widely usedin oral tissues. Patients are more willing to havelaser treatments instead of conventional treatments because by the use of lasers a widerange of bloodless and painless intraoral applications can be done. Laser applications areeasy and simple to perform for the dentists. In this article, the intraoral indications of carbon dioxide laser which especially has advantages for its use in oral tissues are reviewed
