Effects of Different Nitrogen Doses on Yield and Some Quality Parameters of Cucumber Cultivation in Soilless Culture

Öz

This research was carried out to determine the effects of nitrogen (N) doses (120, 160, 200, 240 mg l-1) on plant
growth, nutrient uptake and some quality parameters of cucumber in two different growth media of soilless
culture.
Effects of growth media on cucumber growth were not significantly important. It was determined that both media
might be used successfully in cucumber production. In terms of yield and quality parameters, 200 mg N L-1 dose
was found the best.According to regression analysis, optimum N dose ranged from 165 mg N L-1 to 196 mg N L-1 .

TOPRAKSIZ KÜLTÜR ORTAMINDA YAPILAN HIYAR YETİŞTİRİCİLİĞİNDE FARKLI AZOT DOZLARININ VERİM VE BAZI KALİTE UNSURLARI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Öz

Bu araştırma, iki farklı topraksız kültür ortamında yapılan hıyar yetiştiriciliğinde farklı azot (N) dozlarının bitki gelişmesi, besin elementi alımı ve bazı kalite unsurları üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bitki yetiştirme ortamları olarak kum ve perlit materyalleri kullanılmıştır. Bitkiler 4 farklı N dozu (120; 160; 200; 240 mg L-1) içeren besin elementi solüsyonları ile beslenmiştir. Verim ve kalite kriterleri açısından kum ve perlit ortamları arasında bir farklılığın olmadığı ve her iki ortamın hıyar yetiştiriciliğinde başarılı bir şekilde kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir. Verim ve kalite kriterleri açısından en uygun azot dozu 200 mg N L-1 olarak bulunmuştur. Regresyon analizleri denklemlerine göre ise optimum N dozu 166-195 mg N L-1 arasında değişmiştir.
