Plasma cytokine levels in ulcerative colitis

Öz

Background/aim: Some immunological factors are responsible in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis. There are some relationship between cytokines and ulcerative colitis. Materials and method: In this study, the levels of IL-1 beta, IL-2Rsp, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-alpha were studied 20 patients with ulcerative colitis (mean age 36.2 years, 9 women, 11 men) and 20 healthy individuals (mean age 27.2 years, 11 women, 9 men). Ülseratif kolitli hastalarda plazma sitokin düzeyleri

Öz

Giriş ve amaç: Ülseratif kolitin etyopatogenezinden sorumlu faktörlerden birisi de immünolojik faktörlerdir. Sitokinler ile bu hastalık arasında ilişki vardır. Gereç ve yöntem: Bu çalışmada 20 ülseratif kolit vakası (ort. yaş 36.2, 9 kadın, 11 erkek) ve 20 kişilik (ort. yaş 27.2, 11 kadın, 9 erkek) sağlıklı kontrol grubunda; IL-1 beta, IL-2Rsp, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-alfa düzeyleri çalışıldı. Bulgular: IL-2Rsp, IL-6, IL-8 ve IL-10 düzeyleri hasta ve kontrol grubunda farklı bulundu (p < 0.005). TNF-alfa ve IL-1 beta seviyeleri her 2 grupta da aynı bulundu. Sonuç: Bu sonuçlara göre, IL-2Rsp, IL-6, IL-8 ve IL-10 ülseratif kolitde rol oynayan önemli sitokinlerdir. Bu sitokinlerin hastalığın, tanı, takip ve prognozunda önemli rol oynacağını düşünmekteyiz.
