Developing the individual's subjective well-being, which expresses the individual's happiness and quality of life, has become increasingly important in today's world. On this basis, the individual's regulatory focus and psychological resources can affect subjective well-being. Based on this, this study examines the mediating role of future visions in the relationship between university students' regulatory focus and subjective well-being. The participants of the study consisted of 346 university students studying in a large city in the south of Turkey [215 females (62.5%), 131 males (37.5%)]. The mean age of the participants was 21.63 (Standard deviation, 3.47). Personal Information Form, Regulatory Focus Scale, Future Visions Scale and PERMA scale were used to collect data in the study. In the analysis of the data, Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis and regression analysis based on the bootstrap method were performed. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was observed that promotion focus had a positive significant relationship with future visions and subjective well-being. Additionally, it was determined that there was a positive significant relationship between future visions and subjective well-being. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the focus of promotion was predictive of future visions and subjective well-being. Finally, it was concluded that future visions have a mediating role in the relationship between promotion focus and subjective well-being. Accordingly, university students' promotion focus, and high future vision may have a positive effect on their subjective well-being.
