Abdullah Safi (1809-1898) holds a significant position among Iraqi Turkmen poets. He was also a master in prose. According to some literary historians, he is considered to be superior in prose than poetry. He tried all kinds of poetry. Among these ghazal, kaside, and date verses constitute the majority. One of Safi's kasides is an "antithesis or nakize" which he wrote in response to Akif Pasha's poem entitled "Adem". This poem has not been mentioned in any source until today. It is one of the important works that shows in terms of both content and technique that Safi is a poet of high level. It cannot be ignored that the concepts of Sufism have been used in the text of this work which consists of 47 lines. While presenting the text of the poem to the world of literature for the first time, we leave its analysis, explanation and aesthetic value to our divan literature experts.
