Wars that are equal to human history do not just take place on the front. The effects of the war are seen in all societies on which the results are reflected. There is a direct connection between the pre-war positions of individuals who make up the society and their positions after the war. The problem of individual whose existence and destiny differs from the community and class he/she belongs to is one of the common trends of Orhan Kemalʹs writing, especially in the story named "Dünyada Harp Vardı!" In the story, the great crisis in the world during the historical process, problems, contradictions and dilemmas related to the individual increase and deepen in countless variety. The story tells the individualsʹ own stories and universal stories in the state of war. For this reason, the story makes facts visible through fictional worlds against the given world and reality. The text, which exemplifies the relationship between the Second World War and the individual, conveys the problem of individual, self-perception, social collapse, and perception of prison.
