It is seen that popular novels that are under the effect of several fields deviate from their own aim sand become an instrument of these fields. A novel which is an instrument deviates from its aesthetic aim and serves an other field in respect of its functional side. An author can make his/her novel an instrument of “that” field willingly and deliberately for a purpose or the author might not have such an aim, but the novel can be popularized by a certain mass of people after it is published, and it can serve another field. The assumption about this issue is understood by the author’s opinions about the novel. The popular Turkish novels published after the 2000s become an instrument of several fields such as politics, religion, love, women, war, history, academics, crime and justice. In this study, samples have been selected in the works’ own genre sand the novels have been analysed in terms of the topics for which they become an instrument. In this way, an answer to the question “For which fields the popular Turkish novels after the 2000s serve as an instrument?” has been looked for.
