Adanalı Ziya is one of poets of XIX. Century. He was born in 1859 in Adana. He completed his primary and secondary education in Adana. He went to Istanbul and received a good education in Enderun. Then he started to work as a civil servant in foundations. During this time he met new poets and got used to alcohol. He wrote poems to opposite the period’s oppressive government. He couldn’t get rid of his troubles because of his satires. First, he has thrown into prison, then he went to mental hospital and driven to Fizan. Then he was forgiven and sent to Afyonkarahisar in 1895. He worked there 37 years and he died in 1932. Adanalı Ziya usally wrote poems about love, justice, public, freedom and homeland. He was one of the last representatives of Divan poets and drew attention with satire. In this type of poem he covered social issues and injustices. He generally wrote about "Tarz-ı kadim", social issues, injustice and homeland love are processed. There was no “divan” or “divaniçe”. He wanted to collect his poems in a book but he could not it. Some of Adanalı Ziya’s poems were published in journals and in newspapers. Much of his poems were lost. Some part of his poems were published in there with important mistakes. We build new texts of his poems based on Arabic and Latin letters. This study will focus on his poems written in the form of “Muhammes”.
