Küresel yönde ters akış: Asya’dan doğan alternatif bir popüler kültür

Öz

Küreselleşmeyle birlikte kitle iletişim araçları, küresel kültürü sınırların ötesine taşımakta, yerel olanı da küresel hale getirebilmektedir. Özellikle internetin yaygınlaşmasıyla küresel egemen kültürün karşısında alternatif kültürler de yerini almaya başlamıştır. Geçtiğimiz son 10 yılda, Güney Kore popüler kültürü dünya çapında hızlı ve etkili bir şekilde yayılmaya başlamıştır. Güney Kore dizilerine filmlerine ve K-pop’a (Güney Kore pop müziği) karşı, başta Asya olmak üzere Amerika ve Avrupa’da giderek artan bir ilgi oluşmaktadır. 2005 yılından itibaren Kore dizilerinin Türkiye’de yayınlanmaya başlamasıyla birlikte Güney Kore Dalgası anlamına gelen Hallyu, Türkiye kıyılarına da vurmuştur. Çalışmada Güney Kore Dalgası’nın başlangıcından bugüne kadar olan gelişimi incelenmiş, Türkiye’deki durumu açıklayıcı bir çerçeve içerisinde ele alınmıştır.

Counter flow in global aspect: An alternative popular culture arising from Asia

Öz

In conjunction with globalization, mass media have carried global culture beyond the borders, on the other hand turn the local into a global. In particular, thanks to diffusion of internet, alternative sub-cultures started to have a position against dominant global cultures. In the recent 10 years, South Korea popular culture initiated to diffuse worldwide on a fast and impressive way. Notably in Asia, there is a growing interest in South Korean series, films and K-pop (South Korea pop music) in USA and Europe. Since 2005, starting Korean TV series shown on Turkish channels, South Korea Wave Hallyu lash against Turkey coasts. In the study, by reviewing development of South Korea Wave from its beginning till today, its conjuncture in Turkey have been addressed the issue from an exploratory frame.
