Astımı Taklit Eden Yabancı Cisim Aspirasyon Olgusu

Öz

ÖZ Çocukluk döneminde görmeye alışkın olduğumuz yabancı cisim aspirasyonu sağlıklı yetişkinlerde de gelişebilir. Semptom ve bulguların spesifik olmaması, aspirasyonun sağlıklı erişkinde pek beklenmemesi gibi sebeplerle, özellikle de hastanın öyküsünde aspirasyon tariflememesi durumunda tanı gecikir ve yanlış tanılar konulabilir. Aspirasyona bağlı gelişen kronik öksürük ve wheezing astımı taklit edebilir. Burada astım tanısı ile üç yıldır takip ve tedavi edilen, inhaler bronkodilatör tedavi ile yakınmaları düzelmeyen bir olgu, sağlıklı erişkin hastalarda da yabancı cisim aspirasyonunun olabileceğini bir kez daha vurgulamak üzere güncel bilgiler eşliğinde sunulmuştur. A Foreign Body Aspiration Case Mimicking Asthma

Abstract

ABSTRACT Foreign body aspiration, which we are used to seeing in childhood, can also develop in healthy adults. Symptoms and findings are not specific, aspiration is not expected in healthy adults, especially if the patient does not describe aspiration in his history, the diagnosis is delayed and misdiagnosis may be made. Chronic cough and wheezing due to aspiration can mimic asthma. Here, a patient who has been followed up and treated for three years with the diagnosis of asthma and whose complaints did not improve with inhaler bronchodilator treatment is presented with current information to emphasize once again that foreign body aspiration may occur in healthy adult patients.
