Perioperatif Hemşirelik Eğitiminde Küresel Eğilimlerin ve Bilimsel Yapının Haritalanması: Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışma, ameliyathane hemşireliği eğitiminin yayın eğilimlerini, tematik yapısını ve küresel iş birliği ağlarını ortaya koymak amacıyla bibliyometrik analiz gerçekleştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu retrospektif tanımlayıcı bibliyometrik çalışma, BIBLIO rehberi doğrultusunda yürütülmüştür. Web of Science Core Collection veri tabanı, perioperatif hemşirelik ve eğitimle ilişkili terimler kullanılarak 17 Kasım 2025 tarihinde taranmıştır. İngilizce yayımlanmış araştırma makaleleri ve derlemeler çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Uygunluk değerlendirmesi ve veri temizleme işlemleri sonrasında 281 araştırma makalesi ve 30 derleme olmak üzere toplam 311 yayın analiz edilmiştir. Yayın ve atıf eğilimleri, tematik yapılar ve iş birliği ağları Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny ve VOSviewer kullanılarak incelenmiştir Bulgular: 2000–2025 yılları arasında yayımlanan 311 çalışma analiz edilmiş ve yıllık büyüme oranı %16,55 olarak belirlenmiştir. AORN Journal en etkili dergi, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri en yüksek atıf etkisine sahip ülke ve Sao Paulo Üniversitesi en üretken kurum olmuştur. Anahtar kelime analizinde 32 terim yedi kümede gruplanmış; “perioperative nursing” en merkezi kavram olarak öne çıkmıştır. Güncel eğilimler klinik yeterlilik, hasta güvenliği, simülasyon, kanıta dayalı hemşirelik ve perioperatif bakım üzerinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Sonuç: Ameliyathane hemşireliği eğitimi araştırmaları, geleneksel müfredatlardan uzaklaşarak kanıta dayalı, uygulama odaklı ve teknoloji entegrasyonuna sahip modellere yönelmiştir. Küresel iş birliğinin güçlendirilmesi, eğitim çerçevelerinin standartlaştırılması ve maliyet-etkin simülasyon yöntemlerinin geliştirilmesi, dünya genelinde eğitim kalitesinin ve hasta güvenliğinin iyileştirilmesi açısından kritik öneme sahiptir.

Mapping Global Trends and the Scientific Structure of Perioperative Nursing Education: A Bibliometric Analysis

Öz

Objective: This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of perioperative nursing education to identify publication trends, thematic structures, and global collaboration networks. Material and Methods: This retrospective descriptive bibliometric study was conducted in accordance with the BIBLIO guidelines. The Web of Science Core Collection was searched on November 17, 2025, using terms related to perioperative nursing and education. English-language research articles and reviews were included. After eligibility assessment and data cleaning, 311 publications, comprising 281 research articles and 30 reviews, were analyzed. Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny and VOSviewer were used to examine publication and citation trends, thematic structures, and collaboration networks. Results: A total of 311 studies published between 2000 and 2025 were analyzed, with an annual growth rate of 16.55%. The AORN Journal was the most influential journal, the United States had the highest citation impact, and the University of São Paulo was the most productive institution. Keyword analysis grouped 32 terms into seven clusters, with “perioperative nursing” emerging as the most central concept. Recent trends focused on clinical competence, patient safety, simulation, evidence-based nursing, and perioperative care. Conclusion: Perioperative nursing education research has shifted from traditional curricula toward evidence-based, practice-oriented, and technology-integrated models. Strengthening global collaboration, standardizing training frameworks, and advancing cost-effective simulation methods are critical to improving educational quality and patient safety worldwide.

This study was conducted using only publicly available, secondary bibliometric data obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The dataset comprised open-access records related to publications, authors, institutions, and citations and did not include any personal, sensitive, or confidential information. No procedures were performed that could enable the identification of individuals, and all findings were interpreted and reported solely for scholarly purposes. Therefore, as the study did not involve human participants and did not process personal data, ethical approval was not required.
