Stomalı Hastalarda Özbakım Gücü ve Etkileyen Faktörler

Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırma kalıcı stomaya sahip bireylerin özbakım gücünü belirlemek amacıyla, tanımlayıcı olarak tasarlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmada, Eylül 2015-Ocak 2016 tarihlerinde kayıtlarına tam olarak ulaşılan, kalıcı stomaya sahip bireyler değerlendirilmiş, araştırmanın örneklemini, dahil edilme kriterlerine uygun 196 birey oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verileri kişisel özellikleri tanıtıcı anket formu ve Orem’in özbakım gücü ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada, hastaların özbakım gücü değerlendirildiğinde 185'inin %94,4 özbakım gücü orta seviyede bulunmuştur. Erkeklerin özbakım gücü düzeyi, kadınların özbakım gücü düzeyinden düşük, eğitim durumu lisans ve üstü olanların özbakım gücü düzeyi, okuryazar olanların özbakım gücü düzeyinden yüksek bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Stoma ile ilgili ameliyat öncesi ve sonrası gerekli tüm eğitimlerin verilmesi, ihtiyaca yönelik eğitimlerin planlanması, uygulanması ve değerlendirilmesinde hemşirelere önemli roller düşmektedir. Eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesinin stomalı hayata adaptasyon sürecinde özbakımla ilgili zorlukları ortadan kaldıracaktır

Self-Care Ability and Affecting Factors in Patients With Stoma

Öz

Objective: This research has been designed as a descriptive study in order to determine the self-care ability of individuals with a permanent stoma.Material and Methods: Individuals with a permanent stoma whose records were fully accessed between September 2015 and January 2016 were evaluated, and the sample of the study consisted of 196 individuals in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The research data were collected using a questionnaire evaluating the personal characteristics and Orem's self-care ability scale.Results: When the self-care ability of the patients was evaluated, it was found to be moderate in 185 94.4% patients. The self-care ability level of men was lower than the self-care ability level of women, and the self-care ability level of those who had a bachelor's degree or higher was higher than the selfcare ability level of those who were literate.Conclusion: Nurses have important roles in providing all the necessary training about the stoma before and after surgery, and planning, implementing and evaluating needs-based training. The process of adapting the development of education programs for living with a stoma will eliminate the difficulties related to self-care
