Eyüp Sultan Türbesi Vakıfları

The foundations belonging to the Ottoman Empire and many documents belonging to different periods are important in terms of the importance given to the foundations by the state, the operation and control of the foundation, many problems related to foundations and the soluti-ons of these problems. After the conquest of Istanbul by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, the place where Abu Ayyub al-Ansari was buried was determined and a tomb and complex that still preserves its importance today was built. A foundation was established in 1457 in order to cover the expenses of these buildings. Due to the loss of this endowment during the Fatih period, the foundation re-written in 1582 and the document, which we can count as the second endowment of the Eyup Sultan Mausoleum in the General Directorate of Foundations in 1825, contributed to our work. In this study, the foundations of the foundation belonging to only the tomb part of the Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Complex, which is regarded as a sacred place in the eyes of the Ottoman sultans and the public, were examined and the mites of the tomb, the expenses of the foundation for the tomb, the foundation officers and their duties were determined.

Osmanlı Devleti’ndeki vakıflara ait vakfiyeler ve farklı dönemlere ait birçok vesika, devletin vakıflara vermiş olduğu önemi, vakfın işleyiş ve denetimini, vakıflar ile ilgili birçok sorunu ve bu sorunların çözümlerini tespit etmemiz açısından önemlidir. Fatih Sultan Mehmed’in İstanbul’u fethinden sonra Ebû Eyyûb el-Ensârî’nin defnedildiği yer tespit edilmiş ve üzerine bugün de ehemmiyetini koruyan türbe ve külliye inşa edilmiştir. Söz konusu yapıların giderlerinin karşı-lanması amacıyla 1457 yılında bir vakfiye oluşturulmuştur. Fatih dönemindeki bu vakfiyenin zayi olması nedeniyle 1582 yılında tekrar kaleme alınan vakfiye ve 1825 yılına ait Vakıflar Genel Mü-dürlüğü’ndeki Eyüp Sultan Türbesi’nin ikinci vakfiyesi olarak sayabileceğimiz vesika, çalışmamı-za katkı sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmamızda Osmanlı sultanları ve halk gözünde de kutsal bir yer sayılan Ebû Eyyûb el-Ensârî Külliyesi’nin yalnızca türbe kısmına ait vakfın vakfiyeleri incelenerek türbenin akarları, vakfın türbe için yaptığı harcamalar, vakıf görevlileri ve bunların görev değişimleri tespit edilmiştir.
