INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION SATISFACTION IN SPORT CLUBS AS AN ORGANIZATION

Öz

Although there have been many studies on interpersonal and organizational communication satisfaction in western countries, this is a new concept in Turkey. In this study, interpersonal communication satisfactions of soccer players who are trained by foreign and domestic coaches (technical directors) were comparatively investigated. The data of this study was collected by a questionnaire that was applied to 50 soccer players that play in two different teams. These teams were Ankaraspor which has foreign coach and Konyaspor which has domestic coach. The questionnaire was prepared by using the Interpersonal Communication Inventory developed by Hecht (1978a). Nonparametric analysis indicated that both of the teams’ soccer players’ interpersonal communication satisfaction levels are medium. On the other hand interpersonal communication satisfaction levels of soccer players of Konyaspor Team were significantly higher than soccer players of Ankaraspor Team. Also a negative meaningful relation has been found between interpersonal communication satisfaction and duration of being professional soccer player and the age of soccer players of Konyaspor Team. Finally, soccer players that have university and high school degrees have significantly higher interpersonal communication satisfaction levels than soccer players that have primary school degrees.

BİR ÖRGÜT OLARAK SPOR KULÜPLERİNDE BİREYLERARASI İLETİŞİM DOYUMU

Öz

Bireylerarası ve örgütsel iletişim doyumu ile ilgili Batı’da pek çok çalışma olmasına rağmen kavram Türkiye için yenidir. Bu çalışmada yabancı ve yerli çalıştırıcı (teknik direktörler)larla çalışan futbolcuların teknik direktörleriyle kurdukları iletişimden kaynaklanan bireylerarası iletişim doyumları karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Futbolcuların bireylerarası iletişim doyum düzeyleri teknik direktörleriyle kurdukları iletişim sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri iki farklı takımda oynayan 50 futbolcuya uygulanan anketle elde edilmiştir. Bu takımlar yabancı teknik direktörle çalışan Ankaraspor ve yerli teknik direktörle çalışan Konyaspordur. Anket, Hecht (1978a) tarafından geliştirilen Bireylerarası İletişim Ölçeği’nden faydanılarak hazırlanmıştır. Nonparametrik analizler, her iki takım futbolcularının iletişim doyum düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Diğer yandan Konyasporlu futbolcuların bireylerarası iletişim doyum düzeyleri anlamlı şekilde Ankarasporlu futbolculardan daha yüksektir. Ayrıca Konyasporlu futbolcuların bireylerarası iletişim doyumları ile profesyonel futbolcu olma süreleri ve yaşları arasında negatif yönlü, anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Son olarak, üniversite ve lise mezunu futbolcular ilköğretim mezunu olanlara göre anlamlı şekilde daha yüksek bireylerarası iletişim doyum düzeyine sahiptir
