Zekâi Dede, who has a very important place among the Turkish music composers with his many works that he composed in his field of religion and Ladi music, has served as a bridge in reaching a rich repertoire through his students. Zekâi Dede, who strongly emphasizes the characteristics of the classical style in his works, can be considered as the greatest composer of the 19th century after Hammâmîzâde İsmâil Dede Efendi. It is an important composer who uses the hicazkâr makam most in classical music and composes a team from the beginning until today. For this purpose; The notes of Zekâi Dede's compositions in the form of the composition in the hicazkâr maqam were transferred to the computer environment, and in the analysis of the maqam, the work was divided into sections as floor, chant and licorice. As a result of the study, the melody movements, the condiments, the quadruples and the quintets in the works in the form of "Composition" have been analyzed by considering the sound system of Arel-Ezgi-Uzdilek, and the melodic movements used by the composer in the hicazkâr maqam have been tabulated. The universe of the research is Zekâi Dede, and the sample is Zekâi Dede's works in composition of hicazkâr. It was concluded that the richness of Zekâi Dede Efendi's composition and composition in the hicazkâr maqam was caused by the depth of Zekâi Dede's musical and narrative understanding.
