A bibliometric analysis on the concept of just transition

Yıl 2026, Cilt: 28 Sayı: 1, 1 - 20

Öz

The main objective of this study is to examine the place and development of the concept of just transition in literature. All indexes in the Web of Science (WoS) database were considered without any restrictions. The concept of "Just Transition" was searched in the WoS Core Collection database on July 4, 2025. 1,343 documents were obtained in this search. The data obtained were analyzed with VOSviewer 1.6.20 mapping tecnique. In conclusion, the concept of just transition has a multidisciplinary character. It is shaped by the concepts of energy policies, democracy, equality, and justice. It requires effective stakeholder participation, cooperation, and coordination from local to global levels. It has gained importance in developed countries and fossil fuel-based countries. COP-24 and Covid-19 are key turning points in its development. The studies conducted are mostly articles. McCauley, Kortetmaki, Kaljonen, Tribaldes, Heffron, Huttunen, Sovacool, Newell, and others are among the most influential researchers. Just transition, offers a multidisciplinary field of study in Turkey with its fossil fuel-based structure and classic social policy issues. So, this study serves as an important roadmap.

Adil geçiş kavramı üzerine bibliyometrik bir analiz

Yıl 2026, Cilt: 28 Sayı: 1, 1 - 20

Öz

Adil geçiş kavramının literatürdeki yerini ve gelişimini incelemek, çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Herhangi bir kısıtlama olmadan Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanındaki tüm dizinler dikkate alınmıştır. 04.07.2025 tarihinde WoS Core Collection veri tabanında “Just Transition” kavramı taratılmıştır.
