“Hastayım Sana (Prime)” Filminin Psikoterapide Etik Bağlamda Değerlendirilmesi

Psikoterapistler psikoterapi sürecinde kimi zaman etik açıdan ikilemler yaşayabilmektedir. Bu durumlarda psikoterapistlerden etik ilke ve standartlara uygun olarak hareket etmesi beklenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, “Hastayım Sana (Prime)” filmine konu olan etik ikilemin psikoterapide etik bağlamda değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle film ile ilgili genel bilgilere yer verilmiş ve psikoterapi sürecinde temel etik ilke ve standartlardan bahsedilmiştir. Sonrasında, filmin ana karakterlerinden olan Lisa (psikoterapist) ve Rafi (danışan) arasındaki psikoterapi süreci; Amerikan Psikoloji Birliği (APA) ve Türk Psikologlar Derneği (TPD) tarafından belirlenen etik ilke ve standartlar kapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Lisa (psikoterapist) ve Rafi (danışan) arasındaki psikoterapi sürecinde dürüstlük, gizlilik ve çoklu ilişkilere girmeme ilkeleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Lisa’nın (psikoterapist) etik ihlallerine ve süreç içerisinde uygun görülen etik davranışlarına yer verilmiştir. Filmde, etik ihlal olarak değerlendirilen durumlarda psikoterapistin etik davranışının ne olabileceği etik kurallar çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır. Psikoterapistlerin etik açıdan karşılaşabileceği zorluklar film bağlamında ele alınmış ve bu durumlarda etik ilke ve standartlar doğrultusunda psikoterapistlere olası öneriler sunulmuştur. Ele alınan film psikoterapistlerin karşılaşabileceği etik ihlallerin bir örneğini yansıtması bakımından önemlidir. Filmin psikoterapide etik bağlamda değerlendirilmesinin etik dışı davranışların yol açabileceği sonuçları göstermesi açısından psikoterapistlere bu alanda eğitim alan bireyler için örnek teşkil ettiği düşünülmektedir. Aynı zamanda bu çalışma, psikoterapide etiğin önemini kavramak açısından psikoloji alanında eğitim alan öğrencilerin yararlanabileceği önemli bir kaynak olarak görülmektedir.

Psychotherapists sometimes experience ethical dilemmas during the psychotherapy process. In these cases, psychotherapists are expected to act in accordance with ethical principles and standards. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the movie "Prime" in the context of ethics in psychotherapy. First of all, general information about the film was given and the basic ethical principles and standards in the psychotherapy process were mentioned. Afterwards, the psychotherapy process between Lisa (psychotherapist) and Rafi (client), who are the main characters of the movie, has been evaluated within the scope of ethical principles and standards determined by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Turkish Psychological Association (TPD). In the psychotherapy process between Lisa (psychotherapist) and Rafi (client), the principles of honesty, confidentiality and not engaging in multiple relationships were emphasized. Lisa's (psychotherapist) ethical violations and ethical behaviors during the process are included. The ethical difficulties that psychotherapists may encounter are discussed and possible suggestions are presented to psychotherapists. The film is important as an example of ethical violations that psychotherapists may encounter. Evaluation of the film in the ethical context is thought to set an example for psychotherapists. At the same time, this study is seen as an important resource that students studying in psychology field can benefit from in order to understand the importance of ethics in psychotherapy.
