2024 Avrupa Parlamentosu Seçimleri: Siyasi Grupların Ülkelere İdeolojik Dağılımı

Avrupa Birliği, günümüzde 27 ülkenin katılımıyla ulus üstü faaliyetlerine devam etmektedir. Birliğin kurumları arasında yer alan Avrupa Parlamentosu’nda, Avrupa Birliği’ne üye ülkelerin ulusal partileri siyasal gruplar şeklinde faaliyet göstermektedir. Günümüzde 8 siyasal grup bulunmaktadır. Bu gruplar; Avrupa Halk Partisi Grup, Sosyalistlerin ve Demokratların İleri İttifakı Grup, Avrupa için Vatanseverler Grup, Avrupa Muhafazakârlar ve Reformistler Grup, Avrupa’yı Yenile Grup, Yeşiller/Avrupa Özgür İttifakı Grup, Sol Grup ve Egemen Uluslar Avrupası Grup’tur. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması kullanılarak; söz konusu siyasi grupların; politika tercihleri açıklandıktan sonra 2024 Avrupa Parlamentosu seçim sonuçlara göre üye ülkelerin seçim performansları siyasal gruplara göre ideolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Veri toplama tekniği olarak doküman incelemesi kullanılmıştır. Siyasal gruplar ideolojik olarak; merkez sağ, merkez sol, sol ve aşırı sağ olarak konumlanırken, Avrupa Birliği’ne üye ülkelerdeki siyasal partiler siyasal gruplarda ideolojik yakınlıklarına göre yer almaktadır. Avrupa Birliği’ne üye 27 ülkenin siyasal gruplara ideolojik dağılımları oldukça farklılık göstermektedir. Avrupa Parlamentosu’ndaki siyasal grupların ideolojik dağılımı ve 2024 seçim sonuçları, Avrupa Birliği’nin siyasi yapısında önemli değişimlere işaret etmektedir. Geleneksel merkez partiler güç kaybederken, aşırı sağ yükselişe geçmiştir. Ancak, merkezci ve AB yanlısı gruplar hâlâ çoğunluğu elinde tutmaktadır.

The European Union continues its supranational activities with the participation of 27 countries today. In the European Parliament, which is one of the institutions of the Union, the national parties of the member countries of the European Union operate as political groups. There are currently eight political groups. These groups are: the European People's Party Group, the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Group, the European Patriots Group, the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, the Renew Europe Group, the Greens/European Free Alliance Group, the Left Group, and the Sovereign Europe Group. In this study, using the case study method from qualitative research methods, the policy preferences of the aforementioned political groups were explained, and then the election performance of member countries in the 2024 European Parliament elections was examined ideologically according to political groups. Document analysis was used as the data collection technique. Political groups are ideologically positioned as centre-right, centre-left, left, and far-right, while political parties in European Union member countries are placed in political groups according to their ideological proximity. The ideological distribution of the 27 European Union member countries across political groups varies considerably. The ideological distribution of political groups in the European Parliament and the 2024 election results point to significant changes in the political structure of the European Union. While traditional centre parties have lost power, the far right has risen. However, centrist and pro-EU groups still hold the majority.
