Topluluğa Dair Öznel Değerlendirmeler: Toplumsal İyi Oluşun Sosyal Adalete Yönelik Tutumlarla İlişkisi

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, toplumsal iyi oluş kavramını ölçmek amacıyla önerilen Toplumsal İyi Oluş Ölçme Aracı’ nın Türkçe’ ye uyarlama çalışmasını yapmak, ayrıca sosyal adalet tutumlarının toplumsal iyi oluş üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışmada ilk olarak VanderWeele’nin (2019) toplumsal iyi oluş modelinde yer alan altı boyut (esenlik, iyi ilişkiler, yetkin liderlik, sağlıklı pratikler, toplumsal tatmin ve güçlü misyon) temel alınarak aynı araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ölçme aracının Türkçeye uyarlaması yapılmış ve psikometrik özellikleri test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci boyutunda ise sosyal adalet tutumları (tutum, algılanan davranışsal kontrol, öznel normlar ve davranışsal niyet) ile toplumsal iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 18–58 yaş aralığında, 311 kadın ve 42 erkek katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Veriler Sosyal Adalet Ölçeği, Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği ve toplumsal iyi oluşa dair öznel değerlendirme maddeleri ile toplanmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizleri sonucunda ölçeğin dört boyutlu yapısının Türkçe örneklemde geçerli olduğu bulunmuştur. Güvenirlik analizleri, alt boyutların kabul edilebilir düzeyde iç tutarlılık gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Yapılan yapısal eşitlik analizi sonucunda, algılanan kontrol ve öznel normların esenliği pozitif yönde anlamlı düzeyde, sosyal adalete yönelik tutumun ise iyi ilişkiler, yetkin liderlik, sağlıklı pratikler ve toplumsal tatmin boyutları olmak üzere toplumsal iyi oluşu negatif yönde anlamlı olarak yordadığı bulunmuştur. Sonuçlar, toplumsal iyi oluşun sosyal adalet duyarlılığı ile yakından ilişkili olduğunu ortaya koymakta ve Türkçe ölçme aracıyla yapılacak sonraki araştırmalara önemli bir katkı sunmaktadır. Gelecek araştırmalarda toplumsal iyi oluşun ölçülmesi amacıyla yeni geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmalarının yapılması önerilmektedir.

Subjective Evaluations Of The Community: The Relationship Between Community Well-Being And Attitudes Toward Social Justice

Öz

The aim of this study is to adapt the Community Well-Being Scale into Turkish in order to measure the concept of community well-being, and to examine the effects of social justice attitudes on community well-being. In the first stage, the measurement tool developed on the basis of VanderWeele’s (2019) community well-being model, which includes six dimensions (flourishing, good relationships, proficient leadership, healthy practices, satisfying community, and strong mission), was adapted into Turkish and its psychometric properties were tested. In the second stage, the relationships between social justice attitudes (attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, and behavioral intention) and community well-being were examined. The study sample consisted of 353 participants aged between 18 and 58, including 311 women and 42 men. Data were collected through the Social Justice Scale, the Psychological Well-Being Scale, and subjective evaluation items regarding community well-being. As a result of the explanatory factor analyses, it was found that the four-dimensional structure of the scale is valid in the Turkish sample. Reliability analyses revealed that the sub-dimensions demonstrated an acceptable level of internal consistency. According to the structural equation modeling (SEM) results, it was determined that perceived control and subjective norms predicted well-being positively and significantly. In contrast, attitudes toward social justice were found to predict community well-being negatively and significantly across the dimensions of good relationships, competent leadership, healthy practices, and societal satisfaction. These results indicate that community well-being is closely related to social justice sensitivity and provide a significant contribution to future research utilizing the Turkish measurement tool. It is recommended that further validity and reliability studies be conducted in future research to measure community well-being.
