İkili Eşleme ve Hacimsel Nüfus Tahmini Teknikleri Kullanarak Nüfus Dağılışının Haritalanması

Öz

Nüfus verilerinin doğruluğu ve
güvenirliği, kamu ve özel sektör tesislerinin tasarımını desteklemek için ve
nüfusa bağlı planlamalar yapabilmek açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Demografik
veriler önceden tanımlanmış sayım bölgeleri ölçeğinde ulusal nüfus sayım
kuruluşları tarafından sağlanır. Ancak, demografik veri kümeleri ile
planlamacıların ve diğer kullanıcıların ihtiyaç duyduğu mekânsal birimlerin
ölçeği farklılık gösterebilir. Bu sorunları çözmek ve istenilen ölçekte nüfus
verileri üretmek amacıyla birçok nüfus tahmin teknikleri geliştirilmiştir. Bu
çalısma ikili eşleme ve hacimsel tahmin metotlarını kullanarak nüfus sayım
sonuçlarının rapor edildiği mekansal ölçekten daha küçük ölçekte toplam nüfusu
tahmin etmeyi ve bu tahmini değerlerin doğruluğunu test etmeyi hedeflemektedir.
Hem şehir ölçeğinde hem de mahalle ölçeğinde 2011 nüfus sayım verilerinin
varlığından dolayı Leicester şehri (Birleşik Krallık) örneklem olarak seçilmiştir.
Elde edilen mahalleler ölçeğindeki tahmini nüfus değerleri, 2011 gerçek nüfus
veri setleri ile karşılaştırılarak doğruluk analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışmada
kullanılan her yöntem kendi varsayımları ve gerekli veri setlerinin doğruluğuna
bağlı olarak farklı nüfus dağılış tahminleri üretmiştir.
