The aim of this study is to determine the effect of psychological contract perception on motivation. When the literature is examined, it is striking that the number of studies between the two concepts is low. It is thought that this study will contribute to the literature. Simple random sampling method was chosen in the study, and a questionnaire was applied to 295 people who agreed to participate in the study. The Psychological Contract Scale and the Multidimensional Job Motivation Scale were used in the study, which used the questionnaire technique as a data collection tool. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between psychological contract and motivation, and that psychological contract had a significant effect on motivation sub-dimensions. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that the psychological contract is an antecedent of motivation. It is thought that conducting the study on academicians will contribute to the field of organizational behavior and management psychology and this is important. Increasing the motivation of the psychological contract in public organizations will enable it to make a difference compared to its competitors.
