Transient Hematuria in an Adolescent Male Treated with Increased Doses of Methylphenidate
Öz
Here we report a case of an adolescent boy who developed bloody spots on his underwear with increasing dosage of osmotic-controlled release oral delivery system (OROS) MPH. This symptom did not occur with atomoxetine monotherapy but occurred with atomoxetine and increased dosage of immediate release MPH combination. We plan to discuss the clinical picture and possible pathophysiological mechanisms of this adverse effect.
