Anatomic investigations of the juncturae tendineum of the hand in cadavers

Abstract

At eighteen hands of twelve cadaver, intertendious connections among the long extensor tendons were investigated. In this study it was found that extensor indicis proprius tendon of index finger has not any connection, whereas extensor digiti minimi tendon of the little finger has intertendinous connections at every specimens. We thought that better functional results in extensor tendon surgery are directly releated 10 understanding of the intertendinous anatomy.
