Total kalça artroplastisi sonrası sıra dışı bir komplikasyon: Medial sirkumfleks femoral arter psödoanevrizması

Öz

Çalışmamızda, çimentosuz total kalça artroplastisini takiben 4 ay sonra ortaya çıkan bir medial sirkumfleks femoral arter psödoanevrizma olgusu bildiriyoruz. Süper-selektif kateterizasyon ve koil embolizasyon yöntemi kullanılarak başarılı bir embolizasyon işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Total kalça artroplastisi ile ilgili arteriyel komplikasyonlar oldukça nadir olmakla beraber, tedavide endovasküler tekniklerin daha etkili ve konvansiyonel cerrahi işlemlere alternatif olduğu düşünülmektedir.

An unusual complication following total hip arthroplasty: median circumflex femoral artery pseudoaneurysm

Abstract

We report a case of a pseudoaneurysm of the medial circumflex femoral artery that presented 4 months following cementless left total hip arthroplasty (THA). A successful embolization was achieved using super-selective catheterization and coil embolization. Arterial complications associated with THA are remarkably rare. Endovascular techniques have been shown to be effective and are considered a valid alternative to conventional surgery.
