Trauma is when an individual experiences actual death or the threat of death, Encountering or witnessing a serious injury/threat to physical integrity or sexual abuse. Traumatic experiences come suddenly and are uncertain; It causes people to experience extreme levels of fear and terror. Traumatic events can cause pain, distress, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as post-traumatic growth and development. The struggle with the traumatic event and the positive changes and acquisitions that occur because of this struggle are called post-traumatic growth and development. The concept of post-traumatic growth and development refers to the positive changes that occur in the individual because of coping with a difficult life event. In this study, the concept of post-traumatic growth and development is discussed along with its theoretical framework, sub-dimensions, influencing and similar factors. Understanding post-traumatic growth is important for interventions related to trauma.
