The Rationalization of Emotional Bonds: A Sociological Anlaysis on the Transformation of Parenting Roles into Instrumental Management by Artificial Intelligence

This study provides a theoretical analysis of the impact of AI technologies on family communication and parenting roles. Its central aim, grounded in Weber's rationalization theory, argues that AI introduces calculability and predictability into parenting. The core argument is that AI instrumentalizes parenting, causing models to rationalize and shift from emotional, intuitive communication to instrumental management. This phenomenon is conceptualized as "datafied parenting". This technological rationality, infiltrating family life, leads to the Weberian "disenchantment of the world". AI transforms parenting from an incalculable, mysterious process into a rational task managed by technical tools. Consequently, the paper argues that the parent is trapped between emotional connection and technical efficiency, increasing pressure on the individual's meaningful existence. To manage this conflict, the study proposes the concept of Digital Affective Literacy
