This study examines the professional practices of social workers who provided psychosocial support following the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş Earthquake. Using a qualitative research design, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 social workers employed in public institutions and non-governmental organizations. Data were analyzed thematically through Maxqda Analytics software. Findings reveal that the most frequently implemented interventions were needs and resource assessments and psychological first aid. Additionally, instead of institutional support mechanisms, participants preferred peer supervision and sharing personal experiences to cope with emotional strain. The study recommends strengthening supportive structures and updating relevant social policies to help social workers maintain professional boundaries and fulfill their roles more effectively.
