Futbol Kulüplerinin Akademilerinde Oynayan Sporcuların Öz Yeterlik ile Sporcu-Antrenör İlişkisinin İncelenmesine Yönelik Araştırma

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı, futbol kulüplerinin akademilerinde oynayan sporcuların öz yeterlik ve sporcu antrenör ilişkisi düzeylerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeline uygun yürütülmüş ve ilişki arayıcı tipte tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Türkiye’deki futbol kulüplerinin akademilerinde oynayan sporcular oluşturmaktadır. Örnekleme grubunu ise kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen yaş ortalaması 14.37 olan 417 sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada futbol akademilerinde oynayan sporcuların kişisel özellikleri hakkında bilgi toplamak amacıyla Kişisel Bilgi Formunun yanı sıra Sporcu Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği ile Antrenör-Sporcu İlişkisi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri IBM SPSS 29 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada tanımlayıcı istatistik yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım şartlarını sağlayıp sağlamadığını belirlemek için Kolmogrov ve Smirnov testi yapılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda analizlerde non-parametrik testlerden ikiden fazla değişkenler için ise Kruskall Wallis testi yapılmıştır. Kavramlar arasındaki ilişkide Spearman Korelasyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların öz yeterlik düzeyleri eğitim durumu, mevki, haftalık antrenman süresi ve antrenörle çalışma sürelerine göre farklılık göstermektedir. Sporcu antrenör ilişki düzeylerinde ise antrenman sıklıklarına göre anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların yaşları ile ölçek alt boyutları arasında negatif yönlü farklı düzeylerde anlamlı ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Ölçek alt boyutları arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde pozitif yönlü farklı düzeylerde anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak katılımcıların sosyo demografik özelliklerine ilişkin değişkenler ile öz yeterlik ve sporcu antrenör ilişki düzeyleri arasında anlamlı farklılık ortaya çıkmaktadır. Sporcuların öz yeterlik düzeyleri ile sporcu antrenör ilişkisi arasında pozitif ilişkilerin var olması antrenörün sadece teknik olarak değil psikolojik destek açıdan da destek sağlaması kritik bir rol oynamaktadır.

A Study on the Self-Efficacy of Athletes Playing in Football Clubs' Academies and the Athlete-Coach Relationship

Öz

The aim of this research is to examine the self-efficacy and athlete-coach relationship levels of athletes playing in football clubs' academies. The study was conducted in accordance with the screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, and was designed in the relationship-seeking type. The study group consists of athletes playing in football clubs' academies in Turkey. The sample group consists of 417 athletes with an average age of 14.37, who were selected using the convenience sampling method. In order to collect information about the personal characteristics of athletes playing in football academies, the Personal Information Form, as well as the Athlete Self-Efficacy Scale and the Coach-Athlete Relationship Scale were used in the study. The data of the study were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 29 package program. Descriptive statistics methods were used in the study. Kolmogrov and Smirnov tests were performed to determine whether the data provided normal distribution conditions. In this direction, Kruskall Wallis test was performed for more than two variables from non-parametric tests in the analyses. Spearman Correlation analysis was applied in the relationship between the concepts. Participants' self-efficacy levels vary according to their educational status, position, weekly training duration and working time with the coach. A significant difference was found in the athlete-coach relationship levels according to training frequency. Negative significant relationships were found at different levels between the participants' ages and the scale sub-dimensions. When the relationship between the scale sub-dimensions was examined, positive significant relationships were found at different levels. As a result, a significant difference emerged between the variables related to the participants' socio-demographic characteristics and the self-efficacy and athlete-coach relationship levels. The existence of positive relationships between the athletes' self-efficacy levels and the athlete-coach relationship plays a critical role in the coach's provision of support not only technically but also psychologically.
