As the Quran points out, humans are capable of both good and beautiful deeds, building civilization, and also capable of bloodshed, destruction, and oppression of themselves and others. The inhumane events, human rights violations, massacres, genocides, rapes, moral erosion, global pollution, etc., that we have witnessed in the first quarter of the 21st century are evidence that there has been no fundamental change in human basic needs, motivations, demands, and tendencies. Human destruction has not been limited to the physical and social environment throughout history, but has also manifested itself in divine scriptures. Although the text of the Quran, the primary source of Islam, is the same everywhere, the approaches and interpretations people bring to it vary, sometimes reaching the point of distortion. People can approach Allah's book with good intentions and sincerity, but they can also approach it with the intention of exploiting it for their own corrupt intentions, ideologies, policies, sects, prejudices, ambitions, and interests. Throughout history, it has been understood that politics and power struggles have been particularly effective in bringing about this exploitation. From the early days of Islamic history, those who exploited the Quran have sought to make it speak in accordance with their own understanding, thoughts, ideologies, sects, and policies, trying to make it say what they want to say. The purpose of this study is to inform readers about the nature and extent of the exploitation that has taken place through the use of the Quran as a tool for politics and interests and also through interpretations, and to eliminate the ground for such exploitation. This study, prepared with a rich literature using the main sources related to the subject in the field, deals with the subject concisely and examines it from various aspects from an academic and scientific perspective.

Öz

Kur’an’da işaret edildiği gibi, insan yeryüzünde iyi ve güzel ameller sergileyip medeniyet inşa edebilen bir varlık olduğu gibi, aynı zamanda kan döküp bozgunculuk da yapabilen, nefsine ve başkalarına zulmedebilen bir varlıktır. 21. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde şahit olduğumuz insanlık dışı olaylar, hak ihlalleri, katliamlar, soykırımlar, tecavüzler, ahlâkî erozyon, küresel kirlenme vb. durumlar, insanın temel ihtiyaçlarında, güdülerinde, talep ve eğilimlerinde aslî bir değişimin olmadığının göstergesidir. İnsanın bozgunculuğu tarih boyunca sadece fiziki ve sosyal çevresi ile sınırlı kalmamış, aynı zamanda ilahi kitaplar üzerinde de kendisini göstermiştir. İslam dininin temel kaynağı Kur’an’ın metni her yerde aynı olmasına rağmen, insanlar tarafından ona yapılan yaklaşımlar ve getirilen yorumlar değişmekte, bazen de bu yorumlar tahrifat noktasına ulaşmaktadır. İnsanlar Allah’ın kitabına iyi niyetle ve samimiyetle yaklaşabildikleri gibi; onu kendi bozuk niyetleri, ideolojileri, politikaları, mezhepleri, peşin yargıları, ihtiras ve çıkarları için istismar etme amacıyla da yaklaşabilmektedirler. Tarih boyunca bu istismarın ortaya çıkmasında özellikle siyaset ve iktidar mücadelesinin etkin olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. İslam tarihinin erken dönemlerinden itibaren Kur’an’ı istismar edenler, onu kendi anlayış, düşünce, ideoloji, mezhep ve politikaları doğrultusunda konuşturma yönüne gitmişler, kendi söylemek istediklerini bir şekilde Kur’an’a söyletmeye çalışmışlardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kur’an’ın siyaset ve çıkar için yorumlar üzerinden araç haline getirilmesiyle gerçekleştirilen istismarın mahiyeti ve boyutları hakkında okuyuculara bilgi vermek, istismarın zeminini ortadan kaldırmaktır. Alanında konuyla ilgili temel kaynaklar kullanılarak zengin bir literatürle hazırlanmış olan bu çalışmada; konu özlü bir şekilde ele alınmış, akademik ve bilimsel bir perspektiften çeşitli yönleriyle incelenmiştir.
