THE ANALYSIS OF LIFE IS BEAUTIFULBY ROBERTO BENIGNI IN THE CONTEXT OF THE GAME THEORY
Abstract
The game theory is the first construction of itself and its living with the existence of man. So that from human creation it has served as a refuge during the process of the signification of mankind and the world. With today's developing technology and changing world, the game, which has been transformed inevitably continues to increase its diversity while holding its own. The game theory, offered by Huizinga with a farsighted in the majority of his period, contains many elements, including human and social rescue from chaos. At the same time, the game theory, which is supposed to provide the balance in the society, carries the character of existence even before culture while holding human beings at the point of focus. In this context, there are some rules that Huizinga has put forward about the game theory. However, it is impossible to realize it, even if only one of these rules is violated. In this study, real-life temporary abstraction game and its elements will be explained by Huizinga`s thoughts. In addition, these elements will be explained by taking as an example Roberto Benigni's film, Life is beautiful in order to make it more understandable. The film contains some elements that are thought to reflect Huizinga`s game and its rules. For this reason, it is intended to make the theory clearer and more comprehensible, while examined the film in the context of game theory.
