Turkey met with television later than other countries, but despite this, it was quickly adopted by the society. It has become one of the most spent elements of daily life. Television broadcasting, which appeals to wide audiences, has become a means of entertaining the society as a result of the changing political and economic conditions in the country. The Turkish audience, who had been content with an official channel that progressed with a single-channel broadcasting approach for many years, had many content forms when they switched to the liberal broadcasting system. TRT's single-channel monopoly, which lasted until the 1990s in Turkey, ended with the emergence of private television channels. Since the second half of the 1990s, the genre diversity in the broadcast content of Turkish television has increased rapidly. In this direction, channel owners have chosen to produce or adapt content. Types such as talk shows, discussion programs, magazine programs, variety of music programs, and reality shows have emerged. These emerging types of programs have come to be watched with interest by the audience over time. The rality programs, which are the subject of the research, increased their popularity in our country in the 2000s and became the productions followed with admiration by the public. In addition, reality-type programs are productions that have a very wide target audience, as they are productions that prioritize the element of reality and also pay little attention to fiction, which also includes entertainment.
