In order to demonstrate the contribution of universities to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this article, based on the example of Bursa Uludağ University, evaluates publications published until June 24, 2024, through the Academic Data Management System. A total of 18,199 publications were analyzed according to 17 SDGs. The contribution of geography discipline was then assessed. Geography’s interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary structure has naturally created a connection with sustainability. The holistic approach of the field has formed this connection. It was determined that geography contributes to all 17 SDGs, although the level of contribution varies. Most of the studies were evaluated under the headings of climate action, life on land, and sustainable cities and communities. Beyond monitoring the academic contribution level, it was also stated that sustainability is supported within the university's agenda. By integrating sustainability topics into research and educational processes, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting the development of students' problem-solving skills, the university contributes to the sustainability agenda.
