Bir Grup Dişsiz Hastada Panoramik Radyografi İncelemesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Doğu Anadolu bölgesinde yaşayan dişsiz hastalardan alınan panoramik radyografiler üzerinde görülen pozitif bulguların değerlendirilmesidir. Metod: Bu çalışma için çeşitli şikâyetlerle Atatürk Üniversitesi, Diş hekimliği Fakültesi, Ağız Diş ve Çene Radyolojisi Anabilim Dalına başvuran 283 tam dişsiz hastanın panoramik radyografileri değerlendirildi. Radyografiler kalmış kök, gömük diş, radyolüsent radyoopak sahalar, kret kenarına yakın maksiller sinüs, kret üzerindeki mental foramen ve yabancı cisim varlığı gibi bulgular açısından değerlendirildi. Bulgu: Yaklaşık olarak hastaların % 53.4’ünün radyografilerinde herhangi bir bulguya rastlanmadı. Kalan % 46.6’sı ise bir veya daha fazla pozitif bulgu göstermekteydi. Dişsiz hastalar arasında en yaygın olarak rastlanan bulgu kalmış köktü (%18.7). 53 dişsiz hastada 81 kalmış kök vardı. Yaş gruplarına göre en fazla pozitif bulgu 50-60 yaş arası grupta bulundu. Sonuç: Tam protez yapımı öncesinde dişsiz çenelerin muayenesinde kalmış kök, gömük diş ve diğer radyografik bulguların tespit edilebilmesi için tam dişsiz hastalardan rutin olarak panoramik radyografi alınması önerilir
