BOĞA DANSI GELENEĞİ’NİN KÖKENİ

Öz

Tunç Çağı ile
birlikte şehirli halkın artması ve yeni devletlerin kurulması ile topluluklar
önünde yapılan çeşitli gösteriler de devlet etkinlikleri haline getirilmiştir.
Boğa dansı geleneğinin de önemli törenlerde kullanıldığı anlaşılmaktadır. Tunç Çağı’nda
görülen göç dalgaları ve ticari etkinliklerin artışı ile birlikte bazı
geleneklerin de farklı bölgelere yayıldığını görmekteyiz. Boğa dansının
kökeninin Girit Adası olduğu düşünülmektedir. Nitekim Girit Adası’nda farklı
birçok sanat eseri üzerinde bu örnekleri görmek mümkündür. Boğa tasvirleri ise
Paleolitik Dönem’e kadar geri gitmektedir. Boğa ile birlikte yapılan ritüel
gösterisi ise ilk defa Çatalhöyük’te görülmektedir. Boğanın etrafında bulunan kadın
ve erkek figürler, dans eder şekilde resmedilmiştir. Ancak Tunç Çağı’na kadar boğa
dansı ile ilgili herhangi bir bilgi yoktur. Tunç Çağı ile birlikte farklı
bölgelerde bu geleneğin yansımalarını görmekteyiz. Günümüzde dahi boğanın
üzerinden atlama ile ilgili etkinlikler dünyanın birçok yerinde görülmektedir.
