Öz

Bilgiyi görsel olarak kaydetmek, konuyu anlamak ve akılda kalıcılığı artırmak için sıklıkla kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Herhangi bir konuyu dinlerken görsel notlar almak bireyler için fayda sağlamaktadır. Çizimle ilgisi olmayan bireylerin bile çeşitli karalamalar, çizgiler ve işaretler kullandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Görsel düşünmenin bu olumlu etkileri araştırmacılar tarafından desteklenmektedir. Grafik kayıtlar, toplantı, etkinlik, seminer, eğitim gibi alanlarda gerçek zamanlı olarak kaydedilen görsel notlardır. Gerçek zamanlı görsel notlar katılımcıların konuyu daha iyi kavramasına, konuyla etkileşimde bulunmalarına ve etkinlik bittiğinde konuyu daha iyi hatırlamalarına olanak sağlamaktadır. Etkinliğin sonunda konunun bütününü uzaktan görmeye yardımcı olan görsel bir harita ortaya çıkmaktadır. İlk olarak 1980li yıllarda görsel iletişim tasarımı alanından bağımsız bir şekilde ortaya çıkan grafik kayıt kavramı, günümüzde bir sektör haline gelmiştir. Görsel iletişim tasarımcıların grafik kaydedici başlığı altında çalıştıkları bu sektör, ortaya çıkış nedenleri, kısa tarihçesi ve görsel iletişim tasarımı bağlamında değerlendirilmesi açısından incelenmiştir. Grafik kayıtların görsel iletişim tasarımı alanındaki yerini irdeleyen bu makalede literatür taraması yapılarak nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır.

GRAPHIC RECORDING: REAL TIME VISUAL NOTES

Öz

Recording information visually is a method that is often used to understand a topic and increase catchiness. Taking visual notes, doodling, using lines and signs while listening to any topic is beneficial for individuals. Real-time visual notes reveal a visual map that helps participants better understand the topic, interact with the topic, and better remember the topic when the event is over, helping to see the whole at the end of the event. The concept of graphic recording, which first appeared independently of the field of visual communication design, has become a sector where design fields such as illustration and typography are applied today. This study aims to investigate the reasons for the emergence and a brief history of the graphic recording industry, where visual communication designers work under the title of graphic recorders in the context of visual communication design. In the study, which examines the place of graphic records in the field of visual communication design, the literature review was conducted and the data were analyzed and evaluated. In addition, considering that the graphic recording process develops with visual thinking, the contribution of visual thinking to the learning process has been studied.
