ÇOĞUL GEBELİK REDÜKSİYONU VE HEMŞİRENİN ROLÜ

Öz

Günümüzde yardımcı üreme tekniklerindeki hızlı gelişmeler, çoğul gebelik oranlarındaki artışı da
beraberinde getirmiştir. Çoğul gebelik; yenidoğanda ve annede birçok komplikasyona neden olabilmektedir. Bu
problemlerin önlenmesi için de son 20 yıldır fetal redüksiyon işlemi uygulanmaktadır. Çoğul gebelik
redüksiyonu, çoğul gebeliklerde ortaya çıkacak komplikasyonların önlenmesi için fetüs sayısının azaltılması
işlemidir. Fetal redüksiyon işleminin, maternal ve fetal sonuçlarına ilişkin ülkemizde ve dünyada birçok yayın
bulunmakla birlikte konu ile ilgili hemşirelik yayını oldukça kısıtlıdır. Oysa kadın hastalıkları ve infertilite
kliniklerinde çalışan hemşirelerin işlem öncesi ve sonrasında önemli sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Bu
bağlamda, bu makalede fetal redüksiyon kavramı ve işlemde hemşirenin rolü ele alınmıştır.
