ÖZET

 

Tele-tıp, tele-sağlığın bir alt dalıdır. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü’ne göre tele-tıp; bireylerin ve toplumların sağlık düzeylerinin iyileştirilmesi, hastalıkların ve kazaların önlenmesi; sağlık personelinin sürekli eğitimi ile tüm sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri kullanılarak, uzaktan ve geçerli bilgi iletişim yöntemleri ile sağlık hizmetlerinin verilmesi şeklinde tanımlanmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı; sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda tele-tıp kullanımının birey, toplum, sağlık çalışanları ve sağlık sistemi açısından yararları; yaşlıda tele-tıp kullanım alanları ve örnekleri ile tele-tıp kavramı kapsamında tele-hemşirelik uygulamalarının incelenmesidir.
