This study is conducted in order to determine teaching methods teachers’ use, teachers’ aim at using these methods and the problems they encounter in using these methods. This research making use of qualitative research framework is conducted as a “case study”. The study group is composed of 52 classroom teachers, who work in primary schools of the center and villages of Kulp district in Diyarbakır province during 2011-2012 academic year. “Semi-structured interview form”, asking participants to answer one open-ended question, is developed by the researcher and it is applied in this study. Data from interview form is first recorded as a document and then by transferring this into NVivo 8 qualitative data analysis program, it is analyzed by content analysis.The study results show that mostly used methods by teachers are lecturing, question and answer, demonstrating and discussing; the least used methods by teachers are cooperative learning, projects and mind map. In addition to this, it is found that teaching methods apart from the stated ones are not used by teachers. Several suggestions are provided based on the results obtained from this study.
