Classical Turkish Poetry is the product of the literary tradition in Ottoman Empire which dominated a wide geography. In fact, Ottoman poetry is a traditional literature/poetry. The poetry in question widely benefits from real life materials besides religious, historical, mythological etc. areas. Within this context, Ottoman poetry widely consists of most of the geographical places which Ottoman State dominated and had political, social and cultural connection. Poets, as a necessity of literature, benefited from the opportunities of expression of some literary arts, geographical places and generally reflected to poems within a frame of fiction. Magrib is among the places that is included in the works of Ottoman poets.
In this paper, on the axis of selected and scanned divans from almost every century, we will emphasize the expression of Magrib (North Africa) and the countries that are located in here Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia’s reflections will be presented to the attention. On the other hand, will be emphasized by poets subjected to and fictionalized which features of one of the African countries Abyssinia and Sudan, too.
