Öz
In classical Eastern and Azerbaijani literature, ethical and didactic works written to advise, instructions on any topic, directing people and society are called "nasihatname" (instructions). One of these works is the mesnevi couplet "Nasihatname", written by a prominent socio-political and literary figure Shah Ismail Khatai.The work, which mainly contains the features of the classical style, also absorbed the folk spirit and many qualities of the poetry of the folk language style. The Nasihatname deals with various pieces of advice related to the unity-body philosophy and the morality of the sect. At the same time, the promotion of the Safavid rule and serving to strengthen this rule was one of the ideas of the work. In general, in terms of topic, content, genre, philosophical significance, as well as language style, the study of the belief system of that period, including literary criticism, "Nasihatname" is a comprehensively valuable work.

Klassik Şərq və Azərbaycan ədəbiyyatında hər hansı mövzuda öyüd, nəsihət vermək, insanlara, cəmiyyətə yol göstərmək məqsədilə yazılan əxlaqi-didaktik əsərlər nəsihətnamə adlanır. Belə əsərlərdən biri də Azərbaycanın görkəmli ictimai-siyasi və ədəbi şəxsiyyətlərindən olan Şah İsmayıl Xətayinin “Nəsihətnamə” məsnəvisidir. Əsər əsas etibarilə klassik üslub xüsusiyyətləri daşısa da, xalq ruhunun, xalq dil-şeir üslubunun bir çox cəhətlərini özündə ehtiva edir. “Nəsihətnamə”də vəhdəti-vücud fəlsəfəsi, təriqət əxlaqı ilə bağlı müxtəlif öyüdlər öz əksini tapır. Eyni zamanda Səfəvi hakimiyyətinin təbliği və buhakimiyyətin möhkəmlənməsinə xidmət göstərməsi əsərin ideya qayəsindən biri olmuşdur.Ümumiyyətlə, “Nəsihətnamə” məzmun, mövzu, janr, fəlsəfi mahiyyət, dil-üslub, sənətkarlıq baxımından, eləcə də dövrün tarixi-psixoloji vəziyyətinin, inanc sisteminin öyrənilməsi, həmçininədəbiyyatşünaslıq daxil olmaqla bir çox yöndən olduqca dəyərli əsərdir.
