Umar Uthman Mukhtari Ghaznavi Member Of The Ghaznavıd Palace

Abstract

Gaznavids, a muslim (islamic)-Turkish state, ruled through the years of 963-1186 in Khorasan, Afghanistan and Northern India. In the Ghaznavid palace, poets were appreciated and they were promoted to sing (read) poems. The sultans (rulers, kings) made their names permanent, gaining a reputation through poets’ poems as well as poets gained a bestowment (endowment), being connected to (member of) palace of the sultans, and they made their names permanent, too. Period of the ghaznavids, during which khorasani style came into prominence and praise and panegyric poems came into fashion, is mentioned to be (as) one of the most distinguished (eligible/outstanding) periods in terms of history of Persian language and literature. In this study, we addressed life and literary personality of the poet Umar Uthman Mukhtari, one of important poets of Persian literature, who was connected to (became member of) the Ghaznavid palace and lived in hijri fourth and fifth centuries.

Gazneliler Sarayına Mensup Şair Ömer Osman Muhtârî-yi Gaznevî

Öz

Müslüman-Türk devleti Gazneliler, 963-1186 yılları arasında Horasan, Afganistan ve Kuzey Hindistan’da hüküm sürmüştür. Gazneliler sarayında, şairleredeğer verilerek onların şiir söylemeleri teşvik edilmiştir. Sultanlar, şairlerin şiirleriyle şöhret kazanarak adlarını kalıcı haline getirdikleri gibi şairler de sultanların sarayına intisap ederek bağış elde etmiş ve isimlerini kalıcı kılmışlardır. Horasan üslubunun ön plana çıktığı, methiye ve övgü şiirlerinin revaçta olduğu Gazneliler dönemi, Fars dili ve edebiyatı tarihi açısından en seçkin dönemlerden biri olarak zikredilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Gazneliler sarayına intisap etmiş, hicri dördüncü ve beşinci yüzyılda yaşamış, Fars edebiyatının önemli şairleri arasında yer alan şair Ömer Osman Muhtârî’nin hayatı ve edebi kişiliği ele alınmıştır.
