Investigation of Graduate Theses Relating to the Undesired Student Behaviors That Teachers Working in Primary Schools Encounter and the Communication Methods They Use

Öz

Aim of this study is to examine the postgraduate studies on undesirable student behaviors encountered by the teachers working in primary schools and the coping (communication) methods they use, by document analysis. In line with purpose of the study, a total of 101 postgraduate theses conducted between 2010-2022 were examined. The document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study In the examination of the mentioned theses The "Publication Review Form" developed by the researchers using the relevant literature was used. Publication review form was examined by years of the research, data types, research designs, sample group and finally their themes. According to the research findings; It is seen that the most theses in number about the undesired student behaviors they encounter and the coping methods they use in primary schools were written in 2022 and they preferred quantitative research methods as the research type. At the same time, when the theses are examined according to the research themes, the theme of the student's fighting behavior is at a remarkable level in terms of undesirable student behaviors. As a result of the intervention method themes used against undesirable student behaviors, it was seen that the theme of stimulation with body language came to the fore.

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim okullarında çalışan öğretmenlerin karşılaştıkları istenmeyen öğrenci davranışları ve kullandıkları başa çıkma yöntemleri üzerine yapılan lisansüstü çalışmaların doküman analizi ile incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda 2010-2022 yılları arasında yürütülmüş olan toplam 101 lisansüstü tez incelenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Söz konusu tezlerin incelenmesinde; araştırmacılar tarafından ilgili literatürden yararlanılarak geliştirilen “Yayın İnceleme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Yayın inceleme formu; araştırmanın yıllarına, veri türlerine, araştırma desenlerine, Örneklem grubuna ve son olarak temalarına göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; ilköğretim okullarında çalışan öğretmenlerin karşılaştıkları istenmeyen öğrenci davranışları ve kullandıkları başa çıkma yöntemleri ile ilgili en fazla tezin 2022 yılında yazıldığı ve araştırma türü olarak nicel araştırma yöntemlerini tercih ettikleri görülmektedir. Aynı zamanda tezler araştırma temalarına göre incelendiğinde istenmeyen öğrenci davranışları bakımından öğrencinin kavga etme davranış teması dikkat çekici düzeydedir. İstenmeyen öğrenci davranışları karşısında kullanılan müdahale yöntem temaları sonucunda ise beden dili ile uyarım temasının ön plana çıktığı görülmüştür.
