International Unification of Methods and Standards in the Field of Archival Activities

Abstract

The modern age brings about renewal, development, perfection and rationalisation in all areas of human activity. Archival activities are no exception in this context. Archival activity, as a subsystem within a wider document-communication system, is one of the main elements of international relations in the field of archives. A key element of international relations in the field of archives is global co-operation between different countries. This co-operation helps archives staff to develop and implement best practices, standards and technologies, which in turn improves the quality of archives' operations. One of the most important aspects of international relations in archival activities is the unification of archival activities, methods and technologies. In order to realise this work, international industry standards and other regulatory documents need to be established and countries need to unify them. The international relations dimension of the unification of field standards and technologies contributes to the unification of standards and technologies in archival activities. This is important for ensuring compatibility and exchange of information between archives in different countries. Uniform standards, such as rules for the description of archival documents and digital formats, allow archival staff to work more efficiently and guarantee the availability of archival materials to a wider audience. The article discusses and summarises the unification of modern archival activities in detail. Finally, a list of the literature used is given.

Arxiv Fəaliyyəti Sahəsində Metodların və Standartların Beynəlxalq Unifikasiyası

Öz

Müasir dövr insan fəaliyyətinin bütün sahələrində yenilənmə, inkişaf, mükəmməlləşmə və rasionallaşma ilə müşayiət olunur. Bu baxımdan arxiv fəaliyyəti də istisna deyildir. Daha geniş sistem olan sənəd-kommunikasiyalar sisteminin tərkibində bir alt sistem olmaqla arxiv fəaliyyəti Arxiv sahəsində beynəlxalq əlaqələrin əsas elementlərindən biri müxtəlif ölkələr və təşkilatlar arasında qlobal əməkdaşlıqdır.Bu əməkdaşlıq arxiv işçilərinə ən yaxşı təcrübələri, standartları və texnologiyaları inkişaf etdirməyə və tətbiq etməyə yardım edir ki, bu da öz növbəsində arxivlərin fəaliyyətinin keyfiyyətini artırır. Arxiv fəaliyyətində beynəlxalq əlaqələrinin ən mühüm istiqamətlərindən biri arxiv fəaliyyətinin, onun metod və texnologiyalarının unifikasiyasıdır. Bu işin həyata keçirilməsi üçün ilk növbədə beynəlxalq sahə standartları, digər normativ sənədləri yaradılmalıdır və ölkələr bunu unifikasiya etməlidir. Sahə standartların və texnologiyaların unifikasiyasının beynəlxalq əlaqələr aspekti arxiv fəaliyyətində standartların və texnologiyaların unifikasiyasına yardım edir. Bu, müxtəlif ölkələrin arxivləri arasında uyğunluğu və informasiya mübadiləsini təmin etmək üçün vacibdir. Arxiv sənədlərinin və rəqəmsal formatların təsviri qaydaları kimi vahid standartlar arxiv işçilərinə daha səmərəli işləməyə imkan verir və arxiv materiallarının daha geniş auditoriya üçün əlçatan olmasını təmin edir. Məqalədə müasir arxiv fəaliyyətinin unifikasiya məsələsi ətraflı nəzərdən keçirilir və ümumiləşdirilir. Sonda istifadə edilmiş ədəbiyyatın siyahısı verilir.
