Yıl 2026, Cilt: 13 Sayı: 1, 1 - 25, 06.02.2026

Öz

Məqalədə Azərbaycan xalqının ən möhtəşəm qəhrəmanlıq eposlarından biri olan “Koroğlu”nun yaranma tarixi, coğrafi yayılma arealı, nəşr və tərcümə prosesi, elmi tədqiqi və təbliği sistemli şəkildə araşdırılır. Göstərilir ki, eposun tarixi olduqca qədimdir və onun yayılma coğrafiyası Azərbaycanla məhdudlaşmayaraq Qafqaz–Anadolu məkanından Orta Asiyaya, Avropaya və digər bölgələrə qədər uzanır. Məqalədə “Koroğlu”nun gürcü şifahi və yazılı ədəbiyyatına təsiri, Borçalı bölgəsinin bu prosesdəki rolu və eposun Azərbaycan–gürcü ədəbi-mədəni əlaqələrinin formalaşmasındakı əhəmiyyəti xüsusi vurğulanır. Eposda Gürcüstan ərazilərinin, Tiflis və ətraf bölgələrin təsviri xalqlar arasında tarixi yaxınlıq və mədəni qarşılıqlı təsirin göstəricisi kimi dəyərləndirilir. Nəticə olaraq qeyd olunur ki, “Koroğlu” eposunun öyrənilməsi və tədqiqi Azərbaycan folklorşünaslığı ilə yanaşı, ümumtürk və Qafqaz humanitar elmlərinin inkişafına mühüm töhfə verir və bu irs müasir dövrdə də elmi və mədəni aktuallığını qoruyur.

“Koroglu” Epic: Its Origin, Geography, Publication, Research, and Promotion

Yıl 2026, Cilt: 13 Sayı: 1, 1 - 25, 06.02.2026

Öz

The article systematically examines the origin, geographical dissemination, publication and translation history, scholarly research, and promotion of Koroglu, one of the most magnificent heroic epics of the Azerbaijani people. It is demonstrated that the epic has a very ancient origin and that its geographical spread is not limited to Azerbaijan, extending from the Caucasus–Anatolia region to Central Asia, Europe, and other areas. The study places particular emphasis on the influence of Koroglu on Georgian oral and written literature, the role of the Borchali region in this process, and the significance of the epic in the formation of Azerbaijani–Georgian literary and cultural relations. The depiction of Georgian territories, Tbilisi, and surrounding regions within the epic is interpreted as an indicator of historical proximity and cultural interaction between the peoples. In conclusion, it is noted that the study and research of the Koroglu epic make an important contribution not only to Azerbaijani folklore studies but also to general Turkic and Caucasian humanities, and that this heritage continues to preserve its scholarly and cultural relevance in the modern period.

.....................................................................................................................................

With the 2025–2026 academic year fast approaching, The Journal of Academic History and Thought has initiated a process of renewing its existing protocols with universities in various countries and, in line with incoming requests, signing new cooperation protocols with additional institutions, thereby launching joint research projects. As of 2025, the journal has embarked on a comprehensive update process with the aim of further advancing international standards of academic publishing. During this period, particular priority has been given to the development of academic cooperation protocols with institutions abroad, the closer monitoring of the requirements of leading international indexes such as Scopus and Web of Science, and the restructuring of the journal’s policies in accordance with these requirements. In this new phase, the strengthened link between published articles and institutional protocols is expected to foster greater scholarly interaction and further consolidate the journal’s position within international indexing systems.
