Editorial and Textological Analysis of the Works of the Azerbaijani Poet Ilyas Tapdıq

Abstract

This article presents an editorial and textological analysis of the works of the Azerbaijani poet Ilyas Tapdıq. The study aims to examine the linguistic, stylistic, and structural characteristics of his poetry within the framework of editorial principles and to evaluate the relationship between artistic expression and textual integrity in children’s literature publications. The research employs textological, comparative-analytical, and stylistic methods in order to identify the distinctive features of Tapdıq’s poetic language, including the use of colloquial elements, folkloric motifs, metaphorical richness, and aesthetic coherence. Particular attention is given to the role of editorial practice in preserving the author’s individual style and cultural context while ensuring clarity, consistency, and textual accuracy in published editions. The article also considers practical editorial issues encountered during the preparation of literary texts for publication and discusses methodological approaches aimed at improving the quality of edited literary works. The findings contribute to the theoretical and practical understanding of literary editing in Azerbaijani literature and highlight the importance of editorial work in safeguarding and transmitting the national poetic heritage to younger generations.
