Bayburt was one of the biggest logistic support centers of the Ottomans during the Revan Expedition. When the Ottoman army set out to make a campaign to Revan, he stayed in the Sadak, Yolveren, Sinür and Hayık ranges of Bayburt. The Ottoman army stayed in the Sinur range for five days, where various supplies of barley, flour, sheep, oil, honey and wood were supplied, came from some of Kastomonu’s towns. After Sinur, the army which was in the Hayik range, supplied various quantities of barley, flour, sheep, oil, honey and wood from Bayburt, Rize, Trabzon, Giresun and some of the places connected to them. On the other hand, products such as wheat, barley and flour stored in the food warehouses at Bayburt Castle were transported to Kars via Erzurum for use in the Revan Expedition. This food and grain shipment was made several times on various dates. The Ottomans made this shipment with the animals they rented from Bayburt people due to the insufficiency of the state animals and geographical conditions. Bayburt, Revan Expedition during the campaign is one of most intense. In this study; It ıs aimed to clarify the expedition range of the Ottoman army in Bayburt and the logistical support activities of Bayburt to the Ottoman army in the Revan Expedition. During this study, especially the müdevver register in the Ottoman Archives, Ottoman chronicles and research-examination works were used.

IV. Murat’ın Revan Seferi’nde Bir Lojistik Destek Merkezi: Bayburt

Bayburt, Revan Seferi süresinde Osmanlıların en büyük lojistik destek merkezlerinden biri olmuştur. Osmanlı ordusu, Revan’a sefer yapmak üzere yola çıktığında Bayburt’un Sadak, Yolveren, Sinür ve Hayık menzillerinde konaklamıştır. Osmanlı ordusu, Sinür menzilinde beş gün kalmış ve burada Kastamonu’nun bazı kazalarından sürsat bedeli olarak gelen muhtelif miktarlarda arpa, un, koyun, yağ, bal ve odun gibi malzemeler tedarik edilmişti. Sinür’den sonra Hayık menzilinde konaklayan ordu bu süre zarfında Bayburt, Rize, Trabzon, Giresun ve onlara bağlı bazı yerlerden muhtelif miktarlarda arpa, un, koyun, yağ, bal ve odun tedarik etmişti. Diğer yandan Bayburt Kalesi’ndeki iaşe ambarlarında depolanan buğday, arpa ve un gibi ürünler Revan Seferi’nde kullanılmak üzere Erzurum üzerinden Kars’a nakledilmekteydi. Bu iaşe ve zahire sevkiyatı muhtelif tarihlerde defaatle yapılmıştır. Osmanlılar bu sevkiyatı devlete ait hayvanların yetersizliği ve coğrafi koşullar nedeniyle Bayburt halkından kiraladığı hayvanlarla yaptırmıştır. Bayburt, Revan Seferi süresince seferberliğin en yoğun olduğu yerlerdendir. Bu çalışmada; Osmanlı ordusunun Bayburt’ta konakladığı sefer menzillerinin ve Revan Seferi’nde Bayburt’un Osmanlı ordusuna sağladığı lojistik destek faaliyetlerinin aydınlatılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma yapılırken Osmanlı Arşivleri’ndeki müdevver defterler başta olmak üzere Osmanlı kroniklerinden ve araştırma-inceleme eserlerden yararlanıldı.
