This article examines the national cultural code as a foundational framework for shaping and sustaining collective identity. It analyzes the key components of this code—language, cultural symbols, traditions, core values, and historical memory—and explores how they contribute to a shared cultural structure that unites members of a society. The study emphasizes the importance of these elements in fostering national awareness and cultural cohesion, while also highlighting the mechanisms through which the cultural code is transmitted via education, media, and everyday social practices. Furthermore, it considers the adaptive nature of cultural codes in the context of intercultural exchange. The article identifies the major contemporary challenges threatening national cultural identity, such as globalization, cultural homogenization, information overload, and the erosion of traditional values. Ultimately, it argues that reinterpreting, preserving, and adapting the cultural code are essential strategies for maintaining national unity and resilience in an increasingly globalized world.
