Öz

The development of Boy Scout movement and the place of Boy Scouts in history of Turkish education were analyzed. Firstly, a conceptual analysis was carried out, a general scope was presented and the scouting and its development in the world was studied. The beginning of scouting in Ottoman State and its aims, pioneers and its inheritance to Republican Period were examined. The developmental stages of scouting in Republican Period were determined in the light of the stages of modern scouting of the World
