Rhetorical Analysis of the QurÊn: A Survey on Michel Cuypers’ Understanding of the QurÊn This article analyzes Michel Cuypers’ method of understanding of the QurÊn. He is a Brother of Jesus, the religious community known as Little Brothers of Jesus, and one of the researchers and professors at the IDEO in Cairo. His main field of research focuses on the rhetorical analysis of the QurÊn since 1994. Öz

Genel olarak Kitâb-ı Mukaddes tefsîri araştırmalarında kullanılan retorik analiz metodu metnin yapısı ve kompozisyonu ile ilgilidir. Bu çalışmada, Katolik kilisesine mensup bir oryantalist olan Michel Cuypers’in bu yöntemi Kur’ân’a nasıl uygulamaya çalıştığı ve Kur’ân’ı anlama metodu ele alınmıştır. Cuypers, 1994 yılından beri Kur’ân’ın nazmı üzerine araştırmalar ve çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Makalede temel olarak, Michel Cuypers’in bu konudaki çalışmaları incelenmiş; Kur’ân’ın retorik analizi konusu 101 ¨Êri‚a Sûresi örnekliğinde ve ulûmu’l-Kur’ân bağlamında tartışılmıştır
